TimeWorksTUFF features the same functionality as TimeWorksTouch in a protective housing. For instructions on implementing and using TimeWorksTUFF, please reference the TimeWorksTouch manual that was included with the clock.
This supplemental guide contains additional notes specific to TimeWorksTUFF and is meant to complement the included manual.
Items Included with TimeWorksTUFF

IMPORTANT: When tightening the screws that fasten the rear rugged case to the clock, do not overtighten the screws. They should be snug, but if they are too tight, they can damage the casing.
WiFi Use
After initial activation (see manual), the clock will always try to connect to the last known WiFi network. For that reason, it is suggested to, whenever possible, use the same WiFi or mobile hotspot for the clock.
Offline Mode
If the clock cannot connect to that last known WiFi network, it will still accept punches. This is known as Offline Mode. When the connection to the internet is restored, the clock will transmit those punches.
Change WiFi
If you need to connect to a different WiFi, and the clock is in Offline Mode, follow these steps:
Press the Gear icon at the top right of the TimeWorksTouch app.
Enter the following credentials:
Login: timeworkstouch Password: BackD00r Note: The "0"s in BackDoor are zeros.
On the TimeWorksTouch Settings page, tap Update WiFi (see image below)
Confirm that you want to exit the TimeWorksTouch app.
Once you have exited the TimeWorksTouch app, you should see the WiFi selection page. (If you don't see a list of WiFi networks, go to the device Home screen and tap Settings.) Select a network and enter the WiFi login and password.
Once you are successfully connected to the Internet, you can relaunch the TimeWorksTouch app from the Home screen.
With the app launched and connected to the internet, punches should be transmitted within moments
Troubleshooting WiFi
Proximity to WiFi/Signal Strength Make sure that you have a strong WiFi signal and, if you are using a mobile hotspot, that the device is powered on and within a few inches of the clock.
Other WiFi Signals Make sure the clock isn't trying to connect to another known WiFi signal that might be in the area. You may need to "forget" that network on the device's WiFi Settings screen:
To get to that screen, follow steps 1-4 for "Change WiFi".
Press and hold on the network you want to forget.
From the context menu, select "Forget".
WiFi "Acceptance" Page Some public WiFi networks require an intermediary "sign in" on a web browser to connect to the network. It is generally not a good idea to operate the clocks on these types of networks because they will frequently kick inactive devices off the network. However, if a WiFi acceptance page is necessary to connect, follow these steps:
Exit the TimeWorksTouch app using steps 1-4 from "Change WiFi".
Press the "Home" button on the lower left of the screen.
Access the App Menu by tapping the "6 square" icon at the top right on screen.
Choose the "Browser" app and open up a web page, like "google.com". You should then be prompted to login and/or accept the "terms of use" for the network.
Once that is done, you can relaunch the app and resume use of TimeWorksTouch.
Battery Use
When you first receive TimeWorksTUFF, the battery has only a partial charge and will likely need to be charged. Keep this in mind before deploying to the field.
Under normal conditions, TimeWorksTUFF can operate on battery power for 3 to 5 hours. When running the clock on battery power, you should power off the clock when not collecting punches. The power button is accessible on the top left side of the clock.
Extended Battery – While SwipeClock does not sell an add-on battery for TimeWorksTUFF, you can use a portable charger/battery to extend the time between charges. In our experience, using a portable charger by RAVPower (Model: RP-PB054, available on Amazon) extended the life of the clock to 8-10 hours when used in addition to the internal battery.
